New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to hospital. They were admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi due to health problems related to Kovid. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted that the health condition was satisfactory and was being monitored. Kovid confirmed to Sonia Gandhi on June 2.
They had also responded to the ED’s notice that they needed more time to appear for questioning in a financial fraud case after being infected with the virus. The ED sent a notice asking him to appear on June 8. However, a fresh notice has been issued to Sonia Gandhi to appear on June 23 after she was informed of the difficulty.
The ED has also sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi to appear for questioning in the same case. Rahul has been asked to appear on June 13. He was asked to appear on June 2, but was told that he could not attend as he was abroad and would appear another day.
