Google to comply with central government’s new IT policy Google has said it has complied with government guidelines on content and will abide by the law. This policy applies to Google services, including YouTube.
Facebook has stated that it will improve its performance in accordance with IT rules and that some issues are being discussed. Social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, were given three months to implement the guidelines. The assessment is that social media platforms will lose protection and status as intermediaries if the new guidelines are not followed.
