The High Court issued a warning to the contract company supplying Sabarimala Aravana tin saying that the contract should be taken only if tin can be supplied as per demand.
The Special Commissioner had informed the High Court that the required number of Aravana tins were not being supplied. The court intervened in this matter. The contractor and the Devaswom Board were given time to respond to the Special Commissioner’s report. The High Court adjourned the hearing of the case to Monday.
The High Court had earlier directed to ensure that there is stock of ‘appam’ and aravana in Sabarimala. Strict action has also been ordered if the contractor defaults in the supply of Aravana tin.
