The state has recorded a total of 24 new Covid-19 positive cases today. Out of which five patients are from Malappuram, four from Kannur, three each from Kottayam and Thrissur districts and two each from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha. 14 of the confirmed positive cases are from overseas (UAE-8, Kuwait-4, Qatar-1, Malaysia-1) and 10 from other states (Maharashtra-5, Tamil Nadu-3, Gujarat-1 and Andhra Pradesh-1).
Along with this, the state has also recorded 8 patients, the samples of whom were diagnosed negative. Five persons from Wayanad (one being a Malappuram resident), one each from Kottayam, Ernakulam (Malappuram resident) and Kozhikkode, had negative results. The state has a total of 177 people actives cases right now, while 510 people have recovered from the pandemic.
