Covid19 death toll crosses one thousand in India So far, 1007 people have been died due to coronavirus epidemic, 73 people died yesterday. This is the first time many deaths have been reported in a single day. A CRPF jawan from Assam died yesterday. He was being treated at Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi.
Covid was first confirmed by another jawan, a nursing assistant in the CRPF paramedical unit. The jawan of the 31st Battalion in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar was diagnosed on April 21 following a series of symptoms. He was taken to Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Delhi. Covid has confirmed for 47 CRPF jawans in the battalion’s until yesterday. More than 1,000 are in Quarantine.
A total of 31,332 people have been diagnosed with the disease so far. Only yesterday were reported 1897 Positive cases. A total of 22629 people are currently undergoing treatment. 7695 people were recovered from Covid19 disease. The Minister of State for Health, Harsh Vardhan, said that the doubling rate of Covid cases has come down to 10.9 days.
