Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that the state has recorded 42 new cases of Covid – 19. The state, on the other hand, has recorded 2 negative cases. This is the first time the state has witnessed Covid 19 positive cases of this magnitude. The respective breakdown figures of the states are as follows,

Kasargod – 7
Kozhikode – 5
Palakkad – 5
Thrissur – 4
Malappuram – 4
Kottayam – 2
Kollam – 1
Pathanamthitta – 1
Wayanad – 1
Until today, the highest number of positive cases that the state reported was on March 27 – 39.
Out of the total number of cases, 21 are for people who have come from to Maharashtra. One each from those who came from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, while 17 are from expatriates. However, one person from Kannur got sick through contact, while the health worker from Kozhikode has confirmed the disease.
