CPM central committee member and former chairperson of the Kerala Women’s Commission M C Jospehine passed away on Sunday. She was 71. Josephine was rushed to AKG hospital on Saturday after she collapsed while attending the CPM Party Congress in Kannur.
The CPM Leader had to quit Women’s Commission chairperson following the complaints against her insensitive comments to a complainant. She spoke harshly to a woman complainant of domestic violence during a live television programme of a Malayalam channel.
She contested the Assembly election from the former Mattancherry constituency in 2006 and lost to VK Ibrahim Kunju.
