A civil police officer, accused in a POCSO case, has been suspended from service. The action was taken by Kozhikode Rural SP against CPO Vinod Kumar of Kodenchery police station. A case has been registered against him for sexually abusing two sisters.
The complaint was lodged by minor girls’ aged 12 and 13 mother. The cop is currently absconding. According to the complainant, Vinod Kumar had sexually abused them many times in the past two years. The complaint also mentioned that he had tried to sexually abuse his mother also.
Kozhikode Koorachundu police have also registered a case on this complaint.
On the other hand, grade ASI T G Babu, who tried to abuse a survivor in the Ambalavayal POCSO case, is still absconding.
