Dharmapuri: In Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, 2 women were arrested for serving tea to Dalit women in Chiratta.
After the scenes of caste discrimination spread, the women belonging to the Gounder category were arrested.
60-year-old Chinnatai, their daughter-in-law, and 32-year-old B Dharani were arrested.
The arrest was made on the complaint of 50-year-old G Celli, a native of Polayampalayam. The incident related to the complaint took place on Friday.

Celli is a worker in Chinnatai's plantation. 38-year-old Sreepriya, 55-year-old Veerammal and 60-year-old Mariammal who were with Celli were given tea by the accused in Chiratta the other day.
At the same time, they used to serve tea in a similar manner earlier too, Selli said.
A similar experience is encountered in most non-Dalit workplaces.
The complaint states that they are being discriminated against not only in temples but also in workplaces
