The pre launch booking of Datsun redi-Go hatchback’s Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is been started. The aspiring customers can pre book the hatchback, by paying a token amount of INR 10,000 at all the Nissan and Datsun dealerships. Going in with the company officials’ words, the deliveries would begin from January 23 onwards.
Offering a 5 speed AMT gearbox, the AMT version of the redi-GO is expected to get Shift Control Dial. The feature promises three driving modes – Reverse, Neutral and Drive. Essentially a 999cc three cylinder petrol engine, Datsun redi-Go will produce 67bhp at 5,500rpm; at 4,250rpm, Datsun redi-Go will churn out a peak torque of 91Nm. The price of the 1.0 liter engine of Datsun red-Go is expected to hover around INR 4.5Lakh.
