As was suggested earlier, CPI has identified the Sabarimala issue as one of the main reasons behind their defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The report in the meeting maintained that the government’s decision in the Sabarimala issue hasn’t gone well with the religious sentiments of a large group of Hindu voters. The report blames the leaders for not foreseeing the magnitude of the Sabarimala issue.
The report also suggested of Congress cashing in on the ‘anti – BJP’ feeling of voters in Kerala. Now, it has to be seen how CPM is going to react to the report of CPI, as far as Sabarimala issue is concerned with.
