The death of a 20 year old girl from Kottayam has been making quite a lot of fuzz today, as her body was found by police and fire force from Meenachil River earlier this day. The student, Anju P Shaji’s family accused the college authorities of BVM Holy Cross College, Cherppunkal, for torturing their daughter, which resulted in her death, suspected to be a case of suicide.

However, BVM Holy Cross College authorities have convened a press meet, claiming that they did nothing purposefully to harass the girl. Showing the media the hall ticket of Anju, which had several of notes written down in it, college authorities maintained that by capturing the hall ticket of the student, they were just doing their job. They have also shown the CCTV footages of the incident. Officials further added that they have handed over the evidences to the police department.
