Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi said that solutions can be sought. There is a serious need for a medical college with facilities in Wayanad. Rahul explained that he came in a serious situation and there was no politics in it. Rahul also blamed the state government for not effectively intervening in the wildlife issue. He had to come here because the government's intervention was ineffective. Compensation to dependents of those killed in wildlife attacks should not be delayed. Rahul pointed out that it is not right to delay the compensation amount.

Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi's visit comes amid protests against wild animal attacks. Rahul reached Wayanad at 7:30 am by road from Kannur. Rahul first came to the house of Ajeesh, who was killed in the attack of Moza elephant Belur Makhna. The family shared the wildlife problems with Rahul Gandhi. Rahul visited the house of Paul, who was killed in a wildebeest attack, and the house of Prajeesh, a native of Mudakolli, who was killed last December. Rahul Gandhi reviewed the current situation with the district administration at PDBUD Rust House in Kalpatta. Rahul reached Wayanad after taking a short break from the Bharat Jodo Naya Yatra.
