Period dramas are the new trendsetters in the entertainment industry. The curiosity of the audience to know about a certain period of time and life back then makes period dramas sell like hotcakes. Popular Mollywood director Vinayan who recently gave the sequel to his Aakashaganga franchise is now gearing up for his next, Pathompatham Noottandu (19th century), which is a period drama. The director has collaborated with Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies, a prominent production house for his movie. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Vinayan spills the beans on his upcoming movie ‘Pathonbatham Noottandu.
“The movie will tell the story of Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, a fiery Ezhava chieftain who lived in the 19th century,” Vinayan reveals confirming that the period drama is going to be one of the most challenging projects in his career.
