US moves to impose additional costs on China for damages caused by Coronavirus∙ Covid Trump has said that he does not want to be re-elected as President of the United States, because he is buying billions of dollars because of current obligations. Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee for this year’s presidential election. With this comes the prospect of a further US-China trade war.
Asked whether it would change trade with China, Trump replied that it would be implemented differently. Trump also said there would be more concrete and clear action on the matter. He also hinted that additional tariffs may be imposed on Chinese products.
Trump has claimed that he has evidence confirming the source of the coronavirus is a laboratory in Wuhan, China. But Trump declined to reveal what the evidence was. The US president was speaking to the media at the White House. Trump also criticized the World Health Organization. Trump said the World Health Organization, which is China’s PR agency, should be ashamed of itself. The US had previously withdrawn its financial support to the WHO.
