It seems like the Malayalam film fraternity is finally bracing the OTT platforms. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, upcoming Malayalam film ‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ will be released on the OTT platform, Netflix. The official announcement was made by Netflix. As was informed by the officials, the movie will get an online release on Thiruvonam (August 31). The movie has been produced by Dulquer under the banner of ‘Wayfarer Films’, while the film stars Jacob Gregory and Anupama Parameswaran appear as the lead pair in the film.
‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’, as the name suggests, tells the story of Ashokan’s love, marriage and first night, with the story is set against the backdrop of a peaceful village. Under the direction of Shamsu Saiba, the project also features Anupama as assistant director. Apart from the lead pair, the film also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Krishna Shankar, Vijayaraghavan, Indrans, Sudheesh, Sreelakshmi, Nayana and Shritha Sivadas in other important roles. The screenplay has been written by Vineeth Krishnan, while Sajad Kaku is in charge of the cinematographic department.
