Mani Ratnam is one such a name, whose name can elevate a film to pan – Indian status; the film would travel across the world as well. That said, Dulquer Salmaan happened to be the only young star from Malayalam, who has managed to associate with Mani Ratnam for a movie. The duo’s ‘OK Kanmani’ turned out to be a superhit across South India. Maintaining that he had been close to Mani Ratnam for quite some time, Dulquer however added that he felt nervous while shooting for ‘OK Kanmani’.
The actor commented that despite sharing a close relationship with Mani Ratnam, he hadn’t spoken much with the legendary director, while shooting for the movie – owing to his nervousness. Giving interview to a leading national portal, Dulquer was of the opinion that acting in a Mani Ratnam movie would give a privilege equal to that of securing an admission in Harvard University.
