Mahindra Group has teamed up with cab service company Meru, and launched a pilot Electric Vehicle project in Telangana. The service is going to be made available at the same fare, as was instructed by the State govt. The service, during its pilot run phase, will see Meru using eVeritos model of Mahindra. Deploying eVeritos (all electric sedan from Mahindra) in Hyderabad, according to Meru, would mark a new beginning in the company adopting EV technology. Meru company officials maintained that, they would bring the EVs more accessible to a larger urban population.
The project is been launched in Hyderabad, in association with AimGreen. The cab disruption service company plans to widen the project to other cities over the next four years.
