Ericsson has introduced the Street Macro to the Indian scenario. The system, which adds a new layer to the network, would equip the network to host more capacity. This is a significant step towards providing a smooth step for the 5G network to take hold in the country. With Street Macro, operators could grow their operational network by availing the service of limited radio locations.
For the purpose, Ericsson has come up with a ‘Do Zone’, which had showcased various technological concepts, which it wanted to implement. While speaking about the ‘Street Macro’, company officials maintained that the system would ensure quick deployment of service, while increasing the network capacity in the urban areas.
