Mammootty was the first to inform about the surgery and now the actor has opened up in an interview given to an online media.
“Once we move on to some project, we tend to forget everything else. I had a disc bulge. It was excruciating pain. But I didn’t tell anyone. Because once the shooting starts, all that will be forgotten. But then I realized never to do that.
At first it was constant minor pain. Then it turned into a bulge and got bigger. The pain then turned into numbness. I couldn’t even feel my legs. It was changing to a mode where one part had no influence. My leg doesn’t move. The actress said, “I fell on the stage without realizing it while walking.”
“That’s when I realized something was happening to my body. I had not told anyone about this till then. It was a huge mistake. We should look after our health. So the surgery was completed last September. It was taken away. At the time of entering the hospital, the director Ram sir was called first. Later the message was sent to Mammooka. I didn’t tell anyone else, but if something happens, I want you to know that I can’t and I’m going for surgery. That’s how the message was sent. He replied that he can pray. Then he went to the surgery with his mobile on silent. I sent a message to them first. I have not told this to anyone else” – adds the actress.
