Facebook and Election Commission (EC) have joined their hands together for rolling out a ‘National Voters Day’ pledge. In line with the pledge, which is aimed at promoting voting habit amongst citizens, would see facebook coming up with a ‘Take the Pledge’ button. Upon clicking the ‘Take the Pledge’ button, users would be directed to the EC’s Facebook post dealing with the pledge.
The joined mission is part of the programmes envisioned by EC for the ‘National Voters Day’, which falls on January 25. Speaking about the initiative, Chief Election Commissioner stated that the pledge would strive for renewing the commitment for the cause of free, fair, peaceful and participative elections.
