Facebook has come up with a public version of its guideline policies. It included details of censorship, which Facebook undertakes. The guidelines state, what is allowed on the platform and what is not. Though it is known that Facebook has banned terrorist organizations and hate groups, it however has not set any definite user guidelines policy for the public. While unveiling the 27 page document before the public, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg maintained that it was a step towards developing a more democratic and independent system for determining Facebook’s Community Standards.
With this, the long started debate over Facebook transparency has taken a different turn and it has to be seen how the free speech advocates view the development.
