Facebook is revamping the way it functions. The social media giant had earlier, introduced red flags in order to denote fake news reports, appearing on the platform. Well, this helped users in avoiding fake news reports and in way, gradually eliminating such reports from Facebook. In an attempt to better the way the platform functions, Facebook has gone onto dwarf fake news links, in comparison with the rest. The fact checked links will be used to cross check the related articles, based on which the links were created.
Thus the news links following credible sources would be project prominently against the false ones. By this way, Facebook would be further reducing the instances of fake news reports catching the attention on its platform. The social media giant would be using both machine learning as well as human fact checkers, in this process. Reportedly, 20 fact checkers were assigned the duty in each country.
