Twitter is determined to stop fake news reports being spread out in its platform. For the purpose of filtering fake news reports, Twitter will be consulting the opinion of users in improving the ‘conversational health’. Twitter, while announcing its plan in a blog post, stated that the app is committed in increasing the collective health – openness – civility of public conversations around the world.
Twitter has also started off a form on its official blog. Users can post their opinions on the form, by April 13th. While starting off the initiative, Twitter went onto mention the US based nonprofit research organization ‘Cortico’, as its inspiration. The company also announced that it would announce the results by July.
