The contagious disease Chickenpox was detected in five policemen at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam. Following this, they were sent back to their homes. The health department has kept the 12 policemen in the barracks under observation and provided medical assistance.
The police barrack and its surroundings were disinfected under the leadership of the health department. Sannidhanam Special Officer said that masks have been made mandatory for all police officers in Sannidhanam as part of preventing the spread of disease.
