When Dulquer unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming production venture, Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan, the major highlight of it, was undoubtedly Saiju Kurup’s face. The actor, who will be appearing as the titular character in the movie, said that his character and the movie, was the result of his 16 year old journey. The actor maintained that he celebrated the poster unveiling day – which incidentally was his birthday as well – in the set of his upcoming film.
When asked about Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan – his 100th film, Saiju Kurup said that the movie would be a complete family entertainer. Regarding his character, Saiju Kurup stated that the character, as the name suggests, is a (retired) goon. He also ensured that there would be loads of comedy and twists in the film. With a handful of films in his kitty, Saiju Kurup feels so happy that he has been able to essay both comic as well as serious roles in career.
