Ford India has launched the Ford Freestyle Cross Hatchback in India for a base price of INR 5.09 lakh. While the above mentioned price is for the petrol version, the diesel mill, on the other hand, is been priced at INR 6.09 lakh. The higher options of both these versions come at INR 6.89 lakh and INR 7.89 lakh respectively. The 1.2 liter Petrol unit makes a peak power of 95bhp; the peak torque figure stands at 120Nm. On the other hand, the 1.5 liter diesel unit delivers a maximum power of 99bhp; the peak torque figure stands at 215Nm.
The petrol engine gives a fuel efficiency of 19kmpl, whereas the diesel engine clocks a fuel efficiency of 24.4kmpl. Based on the Figo hatchback, the design of the Ford Freestyle is comprised of a plastic cladding and plastic skid plates, which accompanies a new bumper on both the front and rear sides.
