Backed by an increase in the production costs, Ford India has announces that they would soon hike the price of their vehicles, by 4%. Selling models in the range of INR 4.8 Lakh to INR 71.62 Lakh, the 4% change in their prices, is sure to place Ford a bit tougher for the entry level users in all the segments. That said, Ford’s most popular vehicle, Ford EcoSport, the introductory price of which currently stands at INR 7,31,200, can have an approximate increase of INR 30,000 across variants.
The price variation will come into effect from 2018 January onwards. According to the company officials, the 4% increase was only a slice of what could have been a steep change in MRP.
