Former Minister Adv MP Govindan Nair passed away at his residence at Muttambalam in Kottayam on Wednesday. He was 94.
Nair died of age-related ailments at his residence here, family sources said. He was the Health Minister in the ministry of R Sankar and Travancore Devaswom board president from 2012 to 2015. Govindan Nair acted as the Kottayam DCC president, member of KPAC, AICC, NSS and president of a charitable organisation.
Govindan Nair was a Member of Parliament prior to retiring from active political life.
