A gang of four criminals who robbed money and mobile phones by impersonating as police officers were arrested in Perumbavoor.
Perumbavoor police arrested Manaf (32) from Erethan house in Marampalli Pallikawala area, Zulfikar (28) from Mookada house in Mudikkal area, Rajan (49) from Uroth house in Pallikawala area and Ansar (49) from Warikadan house in Vengola Allapra area. The incident took place near the Beverages Outlet near Pathipalam on Monday evening.
The gang claimed to be the police and stole the mobile phones and wallets of the two migrant workers.
Zulfikar is an accused in a drug-related case and belongs to the rowdy list of Perumbavoor station. Rajan is an accused in the assault case.
