The protest program in front of Kozhikode NIT is under the leadership of Kozhikode district committee. Activists burnt Godse's effigy during the protest.
The leaders said that Godse is a traitor who killed Gandhi and will launch a strong strike demanding action against the teacher.
ABVP also said that they will file a complaint against the teacher to the Union Minister and the UGC. Earlier, SFI and KSU had come forward against the teacher.
Meanwhile, the NIT director said that the registrar has been directed to seek an explanation from the teacher on the controversy surrounding the pro-Godse Facebook comment.

NIT director Prasad Krishna replied to the letter sent by MK Raghavan MP demanding action against teacher Shaija Andavan. The director also informed that after a detailed investigation, further action will be taken and the information will be conveyed to the MP.
NIT professor Shaija Andavan made a controversial comment under lawyer Krishna Raj's Facebook post on January 30, when Gandhiji was killed.
Krishna Raj's post read, 'Hindu Mahasabha activist Nathuram Vinayak Godse, hero of many in India'.
Below this was Shaija Andavan's comment 'Proud of Godse for saving India'.
Following the incident, the Kundamangalam police registered a case against Shaija on a complaint lodged by the SFI area secretary.
