Kollam: The gold price in the state was at an all-time high of Rs 35,400 for a pavan, 4425 per gram. It reached a record high of Rs 35,240 on Friday. On Saturday it again increased by Rs 160.
This year alone, the price of gold has gone up by Rs 6,400. On January 1, the price of a pavan gold in Kerala was Rs.30,400. The price hike is a result of the Covid crisis continuing and the rupee depreciating. In the national market, 10 grams of gold is priced at Rs 47,450. In the international market, the price of troy ounces is $ 1740.03
