The Customs department has arrested a friend of Swapna Suresh in connection with the gold smuggling case. The person has been identified as Soumy, wife of Mr. Sandeep Nair, a close ally of Swapna Suresh and Sarith. Sandeep owns a workshop in Thiruvananthapuram, ‘Carbon Doctor’; he is also missing and investigating team is looking for leads from his wife Soumya.
The workshop was inaugurated by Speaker Sreeramakrishnan, something which has been used as a weapon by the political opponents of the government right now. It is believed that Swapna Suresh and Sarith have a wide circle of relationships, using which the duo carried out several operations in the past. Meanwhile, the search for Swapna Suresh continues, as several sources suggest that she might surrender today.
