Malappuram: Minister V. Abdurahiman said that the Argentina football team has sent an e-mail message expressing their willingness to play in Kerala.
Earlier, the State Sports Ministry had sent a letter to the Argentina Football Association inviting Messi and his team to Kerala.
In response to that, the e-mail message accepting the invitation was received the other day. It is indicated that the Argentine team has expressed its willingness to come to Kerala in the middle of this year.
The minister stated that he has expressed his willingness but has not given other details. If they are to be clarified, there should be a meeting between the Kerala government and the Argentina Football Association representatives.
Aspects including finances need to be discussed. The minister said that it is certain that foreign teams will come to play in Kerala.
