Google has renamed the operating system of wearable. From now onwards, the device would be known as Wear OS. While announcing the rebranding of the Android Wear platform through its blog post, Google commented that a new website would be ready, exclusively for Wear OS. That said, from now onwards, smartwatches would start receiving Wear OS updates. Launched in the year 2014, the platform has turned out to be quite a popular option for iPhone users. As per the reports, one out of every three new Android Wear watch owners happened to be iPhone users.
It was part of rebranding the platform, which Google has decided coming up with the name of, ‘Wear OS’.
