Government issued notification regarding Covid First Line Treatment Centers

The state government has issued a detailed order regarding the operation of first line treatment centers. These centers, which will act as public health care centers, is going to be set up at the local government level, in order to prevent the spread of Covid in the state. According to the order, these treatment centers are going to be set up in those areas, on the recommendations of the Department of Health, the Disaster Management Authority and the expert committee.

The local bodies would have the responsibility of locating the building, which has to be used as CFLTC (Covid First Line Treatment Center). The Department of Health would ensure the services such as the availability of the required number of medical staff. Similarly, these local bodies will also have to ensure the physical facilities, day-to-day running, food and hygiene, and all the other operations except those of providing treatment, and arranging medical equipments.

In order to carry out the operations, there will also be a committee, which would be chaired by the Chairperson / Chairperson of the Local Government. The activities to coordinate the operations of the Managing Committee, a Nodal Officer too would be appointed. He would be assisted by an Officer / Officer-in-Charge Officer, which is to be appointed by the Local Body. The District Disaster Management Authority will provide Rs 25 lakh for the setting up of the treatment centers up to 100 beds. It would allocate Rs 40 lakh for centers, which would accommodate beds between 100 and 200; for centers that accommodate more than 200 beds, the authority would provide Rs 60 lakh.
