Kozhikode: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan returned to the Karipur airport after attending a seminar while the SFI protest continued at Calicut University.
It was earlier decided that after attending the seminar, the governor would go to the guest house at 7.05 pm.
However, the governor was heading straight to the airport after unexpectedly attending the seminar amid ongoing protests.
But not backing down, the SFI workers blocked the national highway and raised slogans against the governor. DYFI also protested against the Governor.
The Governor reached the airport at 6:30.
At the same time, it is indicated that the governor returned earlier, different from the previous plan, when the protest got stronger.
SFI state secretary PM Arshaw said that the strike against the governor will be intensified in the coming days and will be extended to other campuses in the state.
