New Delhi: In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the government of India has suspended all commercial passenger flights until April 14, when it extended its 21-day lockdown and then extended it to 19 days till May 3. Covid 19 Infections.
After more than 50 days of nationwide lockdown, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) is expected to resume domestic flights soon. In order to meet the standards of social distance, the AI on Friday issued new rules and guidelines that each passenger must comply with while traveling through the air.
“With the possibility of immediate restarting of domestic flights, the AAI has issued certain procedures that must be followed, so that passengers will be fully equipped,” the AI official said.
According to a notice issued by the Authority, these guidelines must be followed when the passenger is in the air.
Full list of guidelines that all travelers must follow:
1.It is compulsory for all travelers to download a special set
2.To avoid the spread of COVID-19 virus through papers, travelers are requested to check in a webpage and take a print out of their boarding pass before heading to the airport to catch a flight.
3.Travelers must keep a distance of four feet from their fellow travelers
4.Flyers should wear mask and other protective gear
5.The aircraft will allow passengers to take up to 350ml of hand sanitizer.
6.Travelers are advised to wash their hands frequently
7.The government-run body, AI, reports to the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It looks at the development and maintenance of more than 100 airports across the country.
Air India’s national carrier Air India on Thursday began issuing guidelines. Air India announced in a Twitter post on May 14, 2020 that it will start its flights to the USA, UK, Australia, Frankfurt, Paris, Singapore and Canada.
India has been locked up since March 25 to prevent the coronavirus epidemic. The virus has infected more than 81,900 people and killed more than 2,600 people.
