Thrissur: Devaswom Administrator KP Vinayan responded to the news that the weddings scheduled to take place on that day were postponed due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi coming to the Guruvayur temple for the marriage of actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi’s daughter.
Devaswom administrator KP Vinayan said that not a single marriage has been postponed and all marriages will be performed. KP Vinayan informed that only arrangements with changed timings of marriages are being implemented as part of security.
The schedule for marriages in Guruvayur has been fixed on the 17th, the wedding day. On the 17th of Modi’s visit, 48 marriages have been scheduled between five and six in the morning.
There will be no marriages between six and nine o’clock. Officials also informed that wedding groups should take separate passes on that day.

According to the restrictions imposed on marriages, only 20 people are allowed in the wedding party. The police pass should be given with a photograph and a copy of the identity card.
Meanwhile on that day, in the morning Chorun and Tulabharam are prohibited in Guruvayur temple.
Officials also informed that Chorun and Tulabharam are not allowed in Guruvayur temple in the morning.
Meanwhile, this is Modi’s second visit to Thrissur. Earlier, Modi came to participate in BJP’s Narishakti programme.
