Ahead of the 75th Independence Day, several film personalities have joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and urged people to hoist the national flag at their residence as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Superstar Mohanlal has also took part in the campaign today where he hoisted the tricolour flag at his residence. After raising the Indian flag, Mohanlal reportedly said that he is proudly participating in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which remembers the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives to keep our flag high.
Taking to Facebook, Mohanlal shared the video of him hoisting the national flag and wrote, “Proud to bring home our symbol of oneness, our #Tiranga! Let us always remember that despite our differences, we are Indians first, and hoisting the #NationalFlag enlivens the memory of the matchless sacrifices of all those who had laid down their lives to keep our flag high. Jai Hind! #HarGharTiranga”.

Earlier several Malayalam celebrities such as Mohanlal, Mammootty, Unni Mukundan, Suresh Gopi, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Major Ravi changed their Facebook profile picture to the Indian national flag as the prime minister urged every social media user to do so. Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is getting an overwhelming response in Kerala.
