The India Meteorological Department has predicted for an isolated heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Kerala till Thursday. IMD has warned fishermen not to venture into the sea on Kerala coast on Sunday.
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is likely along-off Kerala coast, reads IMD press release.
IMD also issued yellow alerts in some districts in coming days:
Sunday – Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki.
Wednesday- Pathanamthitta, Idukki.
Thursday- Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta
