Kochi: The heli tourism project has been launched focusing on the major tourism centers of the state. Planning Minister P.A. Mohammad Riaz inaugurated.
Packages are currently prepared for Munnar, Thekkady, Vagamon, Alappuzha, Kumarakam, Jadayu Para, Kovalam, Kozhikode Beach, Wayanad, Bekal Fort Nelliampathi.
There are pilgrimage packages from Nedumbassery to Sabarimala, Guruvayur, Katampuzha, Kodungallur, Palani, Madurai, Rameswaram and also one day and two day honeymoon packages.

The operation of the project is centered on the Kochi International Airport. Two five-seater helicopters of Chipsan Aviation have been set up.
Heli tourism policy will be announced soon in the state, Minister P.A. Muhammad Riaz informed on the occasion.
Many of the tourists arriving in the state are reluctant to travel to more entertainment centers due to traffic congestion.

Through this booking will be possible. The minister also said that more helipads will be constructed in the main centers in the south and north of the state.
