As was informed by AICTE, all the higher institutions in the country, would soon start providing free Wi-Fi service for both teachers and students. The project, as was planned by the central govt. would deliver a minimum of 1GB data per month for teachers and students. The plan also envisages the speed of internet to be at lease 4Mbps. That said, the authorities from institutions, would have to reach in on a contract with Telecom authorities.
AICTE is planning to make all higher educational institutions to be equipped with Free Wi-Fi facility on or before August 15th this year.
