Superstar Suresh Gopi and director Jayaraj had recently announced that they will be reuniting for Highway 2. It was speculated to be a sequel of their 1995-released film Highway, however, the superstar has clarified that it won’t be a continuation of the same story.
The former MP in a recent media interaction revealed that Highway 2 is a revenge thriller based on a real-life murder that occurred in Vyttila highway in Kochi. He also hinted that his character will have shades of an anti-hero.
Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi is busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Paappan’, which will hit the screens on July 29. The veteran actor also has Ottakomban with debutant Mathews Thomas, an untitled film (SG 251) with Rahul Ramachandran and another film co-starring Parvathy Thiruvothu and Anupama Parameswaran lined up.
