ALLAHABAD: Hindus can continue worshiping in the vaults of Varanasi's Gyanwapi mosque. The Allahabad High Court dismissed the appeal against the district court order.
The High Court dismissed the appeal stating that there is no need to interfere with the order of the district court which allowed the pooja in the basement of Gyanvapi.

There are clear records that Puja was performed in the vaults till 1993. Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal also ruled that the then state government's action which prevented this was illegal
The Vyas family's right to worship was denied. The court also said that this is a violation of Article 25 of the Constitution, which protects freedom of worship.
Meanwhile, the church committee will approach the Supreme Court against the High Court verdict.
