The deaths of Chinese troops killed in the clashes in the Galvan Valley have been delayed, due to the approval by President Shi Jing Ping, reported by National media cited reports from the South China Morning Post.
The Indian and Chinese forces clashed in the Galvan Valley in Ladakh on Monday night. Three days after the conflict, China did not release the figures. However, the Indian army confirmed that 20 Indian soldiers, including a colonel, were killed in a clash with the Chinese army. The Indian army said there were casualties on both sides.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed that the clash occurred in Galvan, but remained silent about the destruction. The South China Morning Post reported that Beijing is very sensitive to the military issue, with sources close to the Chinese military saying. The newspaper also reported that President Xi Jing Ping had to acknowledge the number of soldiers killed in the conflict before releasing them.
According to the South China Morning Post, the Western Command spokeswoman said the Chinese army was involved in an accident on both sides of the conflict in the Galvan Valley. He, however, did not elaborate on the damage done on the Chinese side.
