Shweta Menon is one of the most loved stars of Malayalees. A few days ago, they came out in support of Narendra Modi. After Modi’s visit to Elekshadweep, Modi faced a large-scale attack. Shweta Menon came out in favor of Modi when the rulers of Maldives came out with mockery against Modi. Shweta Menon called upon all Indians to get to know Lakshadweep more closely.

It was after this that the news came out that Shweta Menon was going to BJP. Now the actor is clarifying this issue. The actor spoke openly about this issue in an interview granted to an online media.

“Prime Minister Modiji was sitting in Lakshadweep and posting a photo. It was done to help the place. My father worked there. So I understood that. There was no politics at that time. Being a soldier’s daughter was nothing but pride. That is why I supported the government while others participated in the Save Lakshadweep campaign” – says Shweta Menon.

“I had posted that Kerala tourism should be boosted during Corona. But no one took it then. But later Modiji went to Lakshadweep. The place was spread all over the world. It was supported for that reason. Being the daughter of a jawan, I have been able to see many places and learn their history. That is why the Prime Minister supported it when he came to Lakshadweep. It was just out of sentiment, there was no politics behind it. Whatever I do, politics comes behind it. When the Prime Minister came to Thrissur, I was invited but could not go. He was in Dubai at that time. Even though he reached Thrissur, there were many other programs at that time. Country is important to me, I am with those who stand with the country. I don’t know if I will join the BJP tomorrow” – Shweta Menon reacts.
