Kochi: Dr. Kannur VC. Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala reacts to the Supreme Court canceling the re-appointment of Gopinath Ravindran.
He said he was happy that what he had said was proven true, and the Education Minister had no right to remain in power even for a second. Ramesh Chennithala said that he should resign.
I was the first to raise this issue. I went to the Lokayukta but they rejected my demand as they were government agents.
R Bindu then said that he was saying this because of his frustration that I could not become the leader of the opposition. After that he went to the High Court.
I did not get justice anywhere. Now I am happy that I got justice when I went to the Supreme Court. Chennithala said that I am proud to see the success in my fight.
The Supreme Court has now proved that the action of illegally allowing a Vice Chancellor to continue and the action of the Minister in writing to the Chancellor as Pro Vice Chancellor are all wrong.
The education minister has no right to remain in power even for a moment. Aren’t they nepotistic? The Supreme Court has upheld it. How can they continue as ministers?’ Chennithala also added.
