She has not acted in many Malayalam films, but all the Malayalam films Meena has done are loved by Malayalees. In a recent interview with a Telugu media, Meena spoke openly about the first and last thing she did in her film career. The star’s words are, “When I was playing the heroine, Ramya Krishnan and Rambha were playing glamorous roles. Me and the late actress Soundarya had a limitation in terms of wearing glamorous roles and glamorous clothes. But once I had to wear a swimming suit for a Prabhudeva film. At that time, everyone was insisting me that why can’t I do a glamor role? I had to wear the costume because it was an unavoidable scene. The only problem was after wearing it. I started feeling ashamed and embarrassed. That’s when I thought how other actresses do such glamorous roles. At that moment I felt respect for all actresses who play glamorous roles and wear glamorous costumes. I felt like running away and falling at their feet. Only those who act understand that an actress comes to act by donning glamorous roles which is not as easy as others enjoy watching on screen. When I realized that I could not do it, I stopped it that day. It was the first and last glamor role of my life.”
