Director KR Subhas has withdrawn the documentary released on YouTube in praise of Pinarayi Vijayan. The documentary ‘Yuvatayot: Ananana Pinarayi’ has been withdrawn. Subhash said that the documentary was made in the sense that the young generation should know what a communist is and the reason for withdrawing it was because they felt that Pinarayi Vijayan was not a comrade.
On the other hand, the director says that the documentary was made with the intention of branding Pinarayi during the 2016 assembly elections and that such a documentary has no relevance once the communist in a man is dead. The release of the documentary was done by Prof. MK Sanu. The director also says that the then organizer of the 32-minute long documentary was Minister P. Rajeev. The documentary, which has been pulled from YouTube, currently has over 75 million views.
